SOME 2016 HIGHLIGHTS?

Aromas of crushed, lightly dried red berries and cherries with a powder mix of mild curry spices, as well as some dried citrus peel. All this complexity is compacted into an energetic bead of spicy fruit that drives through the full, silky palate, latching onto the very fine, firm tannins to give a long, long finish. I love the quiet intensity to this. Drinkable even now, but this is one to hold for an age, or at least for a good while. It will only improve. Best from 2024."

CAMPO DEL TITARI AMARONE RISERVA, on the other side, represent our most contemporary interpretation.



The fruity taste is intense and reminds at first ripe blackberries, dried red berries, raisins, figs and gooseberry jam. The aftertaste is long, smooth and earthy, characterized from sweet and pleasant woody aromas. Spices like cumin, sweet incense or dried ginger come out very well and the characteristic Vanilla taste is all along predominant, yet very respectful of the fruit.

The texture is silky and remains present all around the palate until the end. It continues with an outstanding balance and structure before ending with a long, multidimensional finish.

WHAT ABOUT AN AFTERDINNER-SURPRISE?

BLENDING TWO VISIONS:
CAMPO DEL MAESTRO


One of our most iconic wines, yet NOT an historical one! Produced with a blend of NINE GRAPE VARIETIES, harvested in a single vineyard that we have purchased in 2012. 8 grapes are native and indigenous grapes while a 10% CABERNET FRANC adds a surprising bouquet of indian spices and nutmeg.

Single vineyard created by drying the grapes separately for 4 months and aging the wine for 2 years in oak casks. The taste is very soft and round with its own identity, aromas of nutmeg, turmeric and spice, well amalgamated with the fruity aromas. It is now the 5th year of production but became fast one of the most successful wines in our production.
